Course Overview

12 weekly two hour sessions Mondays 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.

In this series you will:
•    Learn the basics of Compassionate Communication through experiential and interactive group sessions and individual study
•    Understand the role your brain plays in empathy and compassion
•    Identify your own needs so you can choose how to respond in challenging situations
•    Discover alternatives to rewards and punishment
•    Learn the power of self-connection and interrupt habitual patterns
•    Invite more co-operation through connection

This series provides grounding in both the principles and mechanics of Compassionate Communication (NVC).  Participants are asked to complete one hour of self-study weekly in addition to the two-hour group sessions.

The curriculum and format is designed to support the learning and integration of the process in a safe, small group environment. Real-life situations will be worked with in order to make the material relevant and practical. Participants will receive coaching to directly apply the principles of NVC to daily interactions within their family structures. Classes are limited to ten people.
